“There are so many distractions and your to-do list is probably more than one page long! So, I want to share with you some of the secrets I use to manage my tasks so that you can create peace of mind for yourself and your business, gain more focused time and renew your inspiration and creativity.
Secret #1: Focus on the Things That Are Going to Move Your Business Forward the Most
If you want to make more money and grow your business, that means that you are going to have to make sure you get the things accomplished that bring in revenue. I want to start with the basics……the things you do every single day. Take a look at your long list of “things to do.” Sit down and take 15 minutes and re-write each task into categories. Make columns for these tasks and title them. Title them as follows: Complete Today, This Week, This Month, No Deadline, To Be Delegated and Delete. Start with the tasks or activities that can be deleted. Just getting them off your plate will be exciting!! Then take each item and determine what category it belongs in. Focus on the tasks that can be delegated. If you know these items need to be completed, and it’s easy for someone else to do it, then pass it on.
Now, that was just the clean-up process. You now have made room to actually focus on the things that are going to make you money and move your business forward. If you simply make a commitment to accomplish one goal each day, that moves you toward your financial goals. You will be well on your way to quickly moving your business to where you want it.
One Tip: I recommend you keep your immediate tasks, the ones to “Complete Today,” limited to 3-5 activities. It is much easier to see and believe that you can accomplish a short list in one day, rather than being overwhelmed by a huge list everyday.” Read the original article here:
